A health and wellness coach works with individuals, or groups, as a supportive mentor to better their health and well-being through food and lifestyle changes, including some key areas like exercise, work and relationships. A health coach takes a holistic and client-centered approach to support the client’s goals with individualized health programs, and to empower the client to make lasting behavior changes to establish a foundation for health and well-being. Health coaches help clients in using their own insight and strengths to set goals and the steps toward health and lifestyle changes.
A Health and wellness coach can collaborate with a clients’ professional health care providers to support their clients’ own health and wellness goals and the plans as outlined by their medical care providers.
