Remembering To Hydrate

As we move into fall and cooler temperatures, we think we may not need to hydrate as often, however, our body needs water to sustain our physical health, and brain health.

Opinions about the amount of water to consume vary, but a general health consensus is the 8x8 rule, which is to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day, which equals about 2 liters, or half a gallon.

But, the amount of water an individual needs may vary based on a person’s age, physical size, amount of exercise, and other health needs.

So, it is important to listen to your own body and drink when thirsty or even before you get thirsty. Another simple suggestion is to set an alarm to remind yourself to drink.
